Overview:
"The Electric Yard” is a level based on Quake 3’s original DM17 map. It features aspects of DM17, while creating unique elements that differentiate it from the initial inspiration. Encased by a large spherical structure, the main combat platform lies in the center of the circular set piece. With three floors, the key feature of the play area centers around a power generator that electrifies the bottom-most platform every 30 seconds. The layout focuses on symmetry, with two floating platforms that act as smaller sniping / aerial locations, albeit with little to no cover. Each of the symmetric sides of the level connects to each other through jump pads, with weapons also be laid out parallel to each other from left to right. Design Goals:

- Focused on creating a competitive, arena layout that went back to the roots of twitched-based tournament maps.
- Diverse combat experience, from short to long range, and throwing in some turrets to shake things up.
